John Anthony (Voice, Guitar, Bass & Piano)

John is a native Bostonian and a multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of performance and teaching experience. He has performed all over New England, as far west as Hawaii and as far south as the West Indies. A vocalist, bassist, guitarist, pianist and songwriter, John has worked in the capacity of a bandleader and as a sideman playing a wide range of music; Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Zouk, Rock and Hip Hop to name a few. He has performed and/or recorded with the likes of The Bogus Quartet, Grapevine Road, SAXATTACK, Entrain, Caribbean Roots, Daisycutter, The Andrew Clark Band, Legitimate Sun, The Biscuit Boys and many others. Nowadays John is the band leader, lead vocalist and bassist for Bad Moon Rising; a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute act. John brings with him, a great love of music and an excitement about teaching its traditions.

Michael Mersha (Electric & Acoustic Double Bass)

Mik is a native of Ethiopia who grew up on the North Shore and graduated from the University of Massachussetts. For the last 15 years, Mik performs and tours in and out of the country with a number of different groups whose stlyles range from R&B/Soul to Afro-Cuban Son/Salsa, African, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Rock & Blues. Mik has also been working in studios around Boston and produces/masters many high-quality recordings for wide range of artists. Currently, Mik is buiding a new home-studio, teaching, performing regularly with Los Sugar Kings and freelancing with Adam Payne, The Lost Onion and Greg Luttrell Band.
